Katherine joined Sound Venture Productions in 1985 as a producer and partner. After successfully producing and creating programming for three years, she directed the award-winning documentary about breast cancer, "Surviving The Fear" for CTV. She has since crafted well over 125 hours of programming for most of the Canadian broadcasters: "Angels of Mercy" for Global/Canwest, "Canvas of War", "Frame by Frame", and "Personal Essay" for the CBC and Adrienne Clarkson Presents, "Homes By Design" for HGTV and "Foot Notes", "The Group of Seven: Art for a Nation", "Whole Notes" for BRAVO!, reality series for OLN "Paradise Seekers". 65 half-hours for YTV/Treehouse "TheToy Castle".

She has garnered many awards for her work including; A Gemini for Best Pre-School for The Toy Castle. "The Award of Excellence" from The Alliance for Children and Television for "Painting Pictures" and "Get A Life". The YMCA Women of Distinction Award, The Canadian Nurses Association - Media Award for "ANGELS OF MERCY", the ITVA Golden Maple Award for "REMEMBRANCE DAY", Profiles of Women in Progress Award - Washington DC for "SURVIVING THE FEAR”.
