Katherine joined Sound Venture Productions in 1985 as aproducer and partner. After successfully producing and creating programming for three years, Katherine tried her hand at directing for the first time with heraward-winning documentary about breast cancer, "Surviving The Fear" for CTV. Her passion for directing and producing has shone through in over 100 hours of programs she has crafted including: "Angelsof Mercy" for Global/Canwest, "Canvas of War", "Frame by Frame", and "Personal Essay" forthe CBC and Adrienne Clarkson Presents, 65 half-hours of "Homes By Design" for LIFE, HGTV-US, and "Foot Notes", "The Group of Seven: Art for a Nation", "Whole Notes" for BRAVO!, reality series for OLN "Paradise Seekers". 65 half-hours for YTV/Treehouse "TheToy Castle", where she has been able to embrace dance, music and mime in a magical, wonderful set.

Katherine has garnered many awards over the years including; A Gemini for Best Pre-School for The Toy Castle. "The Award of Excellence" from The Alliance for Children and Television for "Painting Pictures" and "Get A Life". The YMCA Women of Distinction Award, The Canadian Nurses Association - Media Award for "ANGELS OF MERCY", the ITVA Golden Maple Award for "REMEMBRANCE DAY", Profiles of Women in Progress Award - Washington DC for "SURVIVING THE FEAR”.
